I declare that I am a self-certified sophisticated investor for the purposes of the Financial Services and Markets Act (Financial Promotion) Order 2005.
I understand that this means:
(a) I can receive financial promotions that may not have been approved by a person authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority;
(b) the content of such financial promotions may not conform to rules issued by the Financial Conduct Authority;
(c) by signing this statement I may lose significant rights;
(d) I may have no right to complain to either of the following—
(i) the Financial Conduct Authority; or
(ii) the Financial Ombudsman Scheme;

HIGH NET WORTH INVESTOR STATEMENT

I declare that I am a certified high net worth individual for the purposes of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Financial Promotion) Order 2005.
I understand that this means:
(a) I can receive financial promotions that may not have been approved by a person authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority; (b) the content of such financial promotions may not conform to rules issued by the Financial Conduct Authority;
(c) by signing this statement I may lose significant rights;
(d) I may have no right to complain to either of the following—
(i) the Financial Conduct Authority; or
(ii) the Financial Ombudsman Scheme;
(e) I may have no right to seek compensation from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

(a) I had, during the financial year immediately preceding the date below, an annual income to the value of £100,000 or more;

(i) the property which is my primary residence or any loan secured on that residence;
(ii) any rights of mine under a qualifying contract of insurance within the meaning of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Regulated Activities) Order 2001;

(iii) any benefits (in the form of pensions or otherwise) which are payable on the termination of my service or on my death or retirement and to which I am (or my dependants are), or may be, entitled.

HIGH NET WORTH COMPANY STATEMENT

I make this statement that I am representing a high net worth company, association or trust so that I can receive promotional communications and I declare that I qualify as such because at least one of the following applies to me:

(a) a body corporate which has, or which is a member of the same group as an undertaking which has, a called-up share capital or net assets of not less than—

(i) if the body corporate has more than 20 members or is a subsidiary undertaking of an undertaking which has more than 20 members, £500,000;
(ii) otherwise, £5 million;

(b) any unincorporated association or partnership which has net assets of not less than £5 million;

(c) the trustee of a high value trust;

Welcome to The Climate Marketplace, where investors can connect with climate change start-ups across the globe. To access and view details of the start-ups, you simply need to go to our website; in doing so you are agreeing to abide by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you must not use our site. If you want to get in touch with a start-up, we need to set a few more terms and conditions. We have made two versions of the legal terms: ‘The Short Version’ which gives you an overview and ‘The Long Version’ which provides more detail. This should, we hope, make the terms easier to digest!

The Short Version

This section is a summary of the terms and conditions which govern your use of the interactive features of the website at climate-marketplace.com (“the Marketplace” or “the site”). The full version of these terms and conditions (which you should also read) is set out below (under the heading “The Long Version”) but the following paragraphs set out the essential information you will need to start using the site.

References to “we”, “us” and “our” in these terms and conditions shall refer to Investor Marketplace (and its partner organizations).

The Marketplace

Marketplace allows start-ups to provide information about themselves and their activities on the site and facilitates the exchange of further information with registered users of the site. Investor Marketplace does not approve, moderate, check or verify the completeness or accuracy of the information on the Marketplace and has no influence or control over information exchanged between start-ups and users as a result of contact through the site.

The fact that a start-up appears on the Marketplace does not necessarily indicate that Investor Marketplace endorses the product or service it supplies. We make no warranties or representations in respect of any of the products or services appearing on the Marketplace.

Except where required by law, Investor Marketplace accepts no liability whatsoever in respect of information on the site and exchanged as a result of accessing it.  If you have any concerns about material which appears on the site, please contact info@thegreentechpreneur.com.

Your Use of the Marketplace

By using the site, you confirm that:

You will not share your login details (including any passwords) with anyone else.
You are happy for the Climate Marketplace Team to use data collected about you in connection with your involvement with the work of Investor Marketplace (and/or any of Investor Marketplace’s partner organisations) provided that we do so in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please refer to this page for details of what the Climate Marketplace Team collects through the site and how it is used.
You acknowledge that we own, or have the right to use, the intellectual property rights in the site, i.e. how the site looks, its layout, functionality, etc. and you agree that you will not do anything which infringes any such rights.
